
Apple Fruche
INGREDIENTS:
• 1 packet of buttercake mix (cheapest)
• 150 grams butter
• 3/4 cup toasted or desiccated coconut
• 1 tin pie apples
• 1 egg
• 300 ml sour cream
• 1 x tbsp sugar
• cinnamon
METHOD:
Preheat over to 180 degrees celsius.
Crumble cake mix and butter together and add coconut then press into cake tin (I use spring form pan where the base can be removed) and bake until lightly brown (approx. 12 mins)
Spread the apples over the base of the pan and sprinkle with sugar
Mix sour cream and egg together and pour over apples and sprinkle with cinnamon.
Bake at 180 degrees for approximately 30 minutes, checking to see that top is not burning.
Remove from the oven, allow to cool, and enjoy – delicious on its own or paired with ice cream
